Collegiate Institute For Middle East Affairs

CIMEA's mission is to promote peace, prosperity, and stability in the Middle East through fostering discussion and enhancing knowledge of Mid-East affairs in the United States. Our goal is to strengthen college students' understanding of the region's intricate economic, political, and social dynamics. College students make up the foreign policy leaders of the next generation. Therefore, by engaging students with diverse perspectives, fostering dialogue, and providing professional developmental opportunities, we aim to contribute to the development of peace-making and sustainable policies that effectively address the region’s challenges and promote collaboration among its nations. We accomplish our mission by founding chapters on college campuses across the United States. Each chapter hosts prominent speakers on campus, holds working groups that research changing issues in the Middle East, and provides opportunities to be published through the working groups and independent student research.
