Collective Leisure is a certified social enterprise reducing health inequity with our communities. This is summarised in our purpose statement of “enabling well-being without boundaries”.
A social enterprise is a ‘business for good', we’re certified by the Australian regulator Social Traders.
We’re leading two solution ecosystems:
• WSYD Moving – A whole of system initiative to reduce inactivity and inequalities in Western Sydney.
• Path to Potential – as a Work Integration Social Enterprise we provide training and employment for people from refugee backgrounds in the sport, leisure and physical activity sector.
To support the system change required we co-create initiatives for hardly reached and underserved communities, enabling them to be well-beings.
Collective Leisure was founded in 2019 from a deep sense of social justice, the awareness that global health and well-being are tracking poorly, and the desire to create a sustainable social enterprise.
We align with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all members of the United Nations. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries in a global partnership.
We are tackling global priorities at a local level focusing on two specific SDGs: good health and well-being and reducing inequality.
We also align with the Inner Development Goals which are fundamental in the work to reach the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Being – Relationship to Self
• Thinking – Cognitive Skills
• Relating – Caring for Others and the World
• Collaborating – Social Skills
• Acting – Enabling Change
We’re member of the Social Enterprise Council of NSW and ACT (SECNA).
