Colas Rail Italia is the Italian engineering and contracting expert with the capability and proven experience to deliver transport electrification pro-jects nationally and internationally. Thanks to our long and successful history in the rail industry, we are well positioned to understand and meet the needs of a wide variety of rail customers across the entire project life cycle: from design to procurement, installation and commissioning of turnkey projects for traditional and High Speed railways, mass transit and light rail systems. We provide our clients with state-of-the-art engineering and design ser-vices, qualified experts and efficient operational approaches aiming at offering innovative technological solutions that are safe and long lasting. Our technologies include power supply, catenary, power lines, SCADA, telecommunication, automation and control systems, electro-mechanical installations and auxiliary systems, safety automatic earthing systems for contact lines in tunnel. We are technology partners in developing the Italian High Speed Rail, members of the Consorzio Saturno, with over 600 km of high speed lines in operation. For many years we have been collaborating with the Italian Railway Network (RFI) in the renewal and maintenance of operating rail-way lines, helping ensure the efficiency of the entire national railway system. Our roots date back to 1926, when the then newly established SAE (Società Anonima Elettrificazione) starts electrifying the Bolzano - Brenner double-track railway line. Since August 2018 we are part of Colas Rail group, a world’s leading pro-vider of railway infrastructure services and rail contractor with solid pres-ence throughout the world.
