The Coalition for a Baruch Plan for AI seeks to bring together an open coalition of globally diverse NGOs, and then states, to establish a new, bold, global federal intergovernmental organization for Artificial Intelligence that is strong and timely enough to reliably manage its immense risks and opportunities in the interest of all.
It draws inspiration from the bold proposal made by the U.S. to the UN on June 14, 1946, which called for the international control of all dangerous research, arsenals, facilities and supply chain of nuclear weapons and energy, via the Baruch Plan.
