ClickMaths is an organisation founded on the belief that the best way to improve South Africa’s struggling education system is through the use of freely-available, open-source technology. ClickMaths aims to collaborate with like-minded organisations to leverage resources and work together towards the common goal of making education accessible and more effective for all. Vision ClickMaths envisions a society where all people have access to high quality, technology-based educational material. This material will allow learners to follow a self-directed learning process in a manner that interests them and at a pace that they are comfortable with. In this way, the education system will develop individuals who are comfortable with content, hungry to learn and positioned to actively contribute to economic growth and social upliftment. Mission ClickMaths will search for world-class content and make it accessible and more effective in the local context. Where no such material exists, ClickMaths will ensure that high-quality material is created. ClickMaths will be proactive in exploring ways for this open-source material to be made accessible to those who need it most.
