Cleantech Flanders is the cluster organisation of the cleantech cluster in Flanders (Belgium). It is an independent player between companies, academia, government and civil society.
Mission:
- developing an overview of clean solutions (both technologies and systems)
- sharing knowledge of clean technologies
- enhancing the implementation of clean technologies
- enforcing the research on water, energy, materials and clean transport
- supporting new businesses and business models
- creating or joining EU awareness of low carbon, circular economies and linking it to the Flemisch ecosystem
- creating a single point of contact for cleantech
Cleantech Flanders offers:
1) support to organisations for their realisation of the transition towards a resilient, ecological and sustainable economy by:
- sharing knowledge and know-how on clean techologies, system and best practices throughout the entire economy, in such a way that every player can realise his of her goals
- setting up a network by whom the best suited partners and solutions can be provided
- supporting (financially) transition projects in Flanders
- providing a platform for support to start-ups in cleantech (finance, hardware, coaching, promotion)
in such a way that the whole cleantech ecosystem grows and florishes.
2) Cocreation with organisations in such a way that implementation of clean technologies is enhanced by
- constructing transsectoral and transversal consortia (knowledge and/or companies)
- setting up international consortia on pilots, demos and implementation and creating support for these in European project applications
- developing workshops on cleantech on different levels (knowledge towards implementation, one discipline in different sectors or different disciplines in one sector): "Technology in Action", "Concept in Action", "Innovation in Action, "Business in Action", “Transition Arena"
3) give exposure to cleantech in Flanders and Europe
