Clark Regional Medical Center is a 79 bed, community hospital which has served the residents of east central Kentucky since 1917. It has over 75 physicians, 487 employees, and 75 volunteers on its staff. Clark Regional fully accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC)
Clark Regional is a part of LifePoint Hospitals, a leading hospital company based in Brentwood, Tennessee focused on providing quality healthcare services close to home. LifePoint acquired CRMC on May 1, 2010 and announced plans for a new replacement facility.
Clark Regional completed construction on its new 70 million dollar campus in 2012. The 131,000 square foot hospital, features state-of-the-art technology including new and expanded services including Diagnostic Services, larger capacity Emergency Services, home-like Labor and Delivery Suites, all private patient rooms, and a skilled nursing facility (Transitional Care Unit or TCU). The campus also includes a 45,000 square foot Medical Plaza which houses the Clark Clinic (primary, specialty and urgent care clinics), Diagnostic Center for Women, Center for Rehabilitation, Specialty Clinic and Anticoagulation Clinic.
In May 2015 the hospital broke ground on a 45,000 square foot expansion of the Clark Clinic. The new three story building will provide services such as cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation, a sleep clinic, wound care clinic, center for rehabilitation, diabetes clinic, Coumadin clinic, congestive heart failure clinic and additional physician suites. Construction on the new building is expected to be complete by the summer of 2016.
