ABOUT US: Clare-Gladwin RESD helps the five local school districts in Clare and Gladwin counties with programs and services that are best provided on a regional basis - things that are highly specialized or that are more cost-efficient to offer regionally. CGRESD is one of 57 intermediate school districts in Michigan created by the legislature in 1962 to bring about quality and equitable educational opportunities to local students and schools. The RESD helps communities make the best use of resources in educating students by collaborating with school districts, higher education, non-profit organizations, business and others to bring key programs and services to our schools. OUR MISSION: The Clare-Gladwin RESD's mission is to provide cooperative assistance, creative leadership, and specialized expertise to local school districts to enhance and expand educational opportunities for all. * Provide visionary leadership and assistance in meeting the identified needs of our constituents. * Serve as a catalyst in strategic and collaborative implementation of services. * Streamline regional technology services for quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness. * Heighten awareness of the RESD's role in improving achievement of all learners.
