Cityside

Cityside is a nonpartisan, nonprofit media organization committed to building community through local journalism. We provide readers with fact-driven, nonpartisan informative reporting that seeks to reflect the diversity and complexity of the communities we serve. We launched Berkeleyside in Berkeley, CA in 2009 and it has earned a national reputation as an innovator in online local news, winning numerous journalism awards, and serving as a model for others. The Oaklandside, covering Oakland, CA, will launch on June 22, 2020. Cityside, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is financially supported in a number of ways: membership, individual and foundation donations, local and corporate sponsorships and events.
