We enforce the law and make opportunities and access thoughtful and equitable. Whether we’re investigating civil rights complaints, advocating for people with disabilities, uplifting Detroit businesses or hosting community events, CRIO works to promote opportunities, ensure access and bring awareness to what’s going on in our City. Our Mission: To advocate for civil rights, inclusion and access, while working to increase business and employment opportunities - all resulting in a positive impact on our constituents and our City. Programs and Services: CRIO’s roles include monitoring large construction project compliance, maintaining a construction workforce pipeline, certifying and promoting Detroit businesses, and mediating civil rights complaints.
