City Studio designs and manufactures collections of original lamps, tables, desks, mirrors, chairs, sofas and accessories that celebrate historical and contemporary greatness in furniture and architectural design. City Studio's Modernist Collection won the prestigious American Institute of Architects / LA Chapter Award for Furniture Design. City Studio's products are characterized by an emphasis on strong forms, whether they are modernist and architectural or gracefully neoclassical, which are then interpreted in rich materials. The furniture has evocative names, recalling the tony areas of Los Angeles (Mulholland Desk, Sunset Plaza Chair, Beachwood Tables) and New York (Broadway Mirror, Ciao Manhattan Mirror), as well as Modern Art (Cubist Sofa, Braque Lamp) and African influences (Congo Sconce, Bassam Tables, Le Sudan Floor Lamp). Each City Studio piece is expertly crafted in Los Angeles by hand and made-to-order from superior materials for enduring quality. We use only the finest hand selected veneers and all hardware is solid brass oftentimes heavily plated in precious metals such as gold and platinum. We pride ourselves on being able to customize our pieces to the designer or architect's exact specifications.
