The CFF's focus is a broad spectrum film festival, bringing the brave and beautiful international independent films to a community that would not get the chance to experience these films and meet the filmmakers that have created them. We believe that the film festival experience should be set apart from just going to your average theater to watch a movie. We bring a live, interactive environment no matter if you're an audience member, a filmmaker, or an industry professional.
CFF brings year round programming and events including Community Cinema, an outreach program bringing the important ITVS documentaries in over 100 cities nationwide for free screening and discussion to inspire dialogue and action, before they are broadcast on PBS's Independent Lens. In May, CFF also produces the local leg of the 48 Hour Film Project, a local filmmaker favorite since 2003. The 48 is a timed, international filmmaking competition held in over 120 cities worldwide. CFF also operates youth filmmaking programs with Cincinnati Museum Center's Youth Leadership Program and Norwood Community Television.
The CFF rewards our participating filmmakers by giving them constructive feedback, distribution opportunities, as well as awards, networking opportunities and valuable audience interaction. We welcome local, regional and national partners and sponsors that support the interests of its participating filmmakers and audiences. We hope you will join us in the fall for a celebration of independent filmmaking in Cincinnati, Ohio.
