Christine Aldrich is an author, community college educational leader, certified trainer, and change agent. She has been a strong advocate of empowering people for the last decade by helping them to find their best self.
Aldrich decided to write children’s books to help educate young African American girls in how to enhance their self-esteem, hoping to build their confidence by teaching them to love their skin tone and hair texture.
Growing up as a young African American girl, Aldrich decided to share her own life experiences within her books because, as a child, she did not see other children who looked like her. This made her question how she was perceived by others. She hopes her stories will help young African American girls realize that everyone is unique and that we should celebrate who we are because of all our wonderful differences.
