Chiniot Power

Chiniot Power Limited, an Independent Power Producer (IPP) is a bagasse based cogeneration power plant with a gross capacity of 62.4 MW. The plant consists of two boilers and two turbo-generators. 2x155 TPH high pressure (110 bar) and temperature (540 °C) boilers by Wuxi Guolian Huaguang Power Engineering Company Limited, China and 2x31.2 MW extraction condensing type turbo- generators by Hangzhou Steam Turbine Company Limited, China. The Plant started its commercial Operation on Nov 27,2015 and is the most efficient cogeneration power plant in Pakistan, using bagasse (waste of sugar plant) as fuel to generate electrical power with low cost. The plant is environmental friendly, with negligible emissions from its chimney as smoke is controlled by using Electro Static Precipitators (ESP).
