China Shipping (Group)

China Shipping Group (China Shipping) was founded on July 1st, 1997, headquartered in Shanghai, China. It is one of the key state-owned enterprises under the direct administration of the Central Government and is a super-large shipping conglomerate that operates across different regions and countries. Under its umbrella , there are specialized shipping fleets of container ship, oil tanker, tramp, passenger ship, car carrier and special cargo ship, it also undertakes LNG business as well as the diversified businesses of terminal management, integrated logistics, shipping agency, air cargo forwarding, ship building & repair, labor service, container manufacturing, supply and trading, finance and investment, and information technology. It has more than 90 overseas branches, agencies and representative offices, over300 sales offices in 90 countries and regions, including 5 holding companies in Hong Kong, North America, Europe, South-east Asia and West Asia. It has more than 440 ships of various types with aggregated deadweight of 22 million tones, 500 thousand TEUs carrying capacity in its container fleet. Its annual cargo shipment volume is close to 400 million tones, 10 million TEUs, playing an important role in the transportation of ex-imports of energy of the nation.
