Children’s Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County (CAC), based in Hoffman Estates, serves more than 1,800 children and their families each year in 38 suburban communities. CAC provides coordinated forensic interviewing, professional trauma-informed counseling, court advocacy and support services to children who have experienced sexual abuse or severe physical abuse. The streamlining of valuable resources benefits children, families and the community at large. A 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization, CAC is a fully accredited member of the National Children’s Alliance. CAC provides all services free of charge.

CAC's mission is to empower children to overcome trauma from physical and sexual violence through empathetic collaboration and culturally sensitive services for the victims and their families.
Goal:
The goal of the Children's Advocacy Center of North & Northwest Cook County is to provide a community-based, multidisciplinary approach to allegations of sexual or physical violence or witnessed violence for children under age 18. The Center recognizes the special, unique needs of child victims, while demanding accountability for the crime of child sexual and physical abuse.
