Children Of The Mountain

UK Registered Non Profit organisation building schools and providing support to teachers and children in rural Nepal. We build safe and bright schools, we design and implement creative learning courses for teachers, and we identify children not in school in order to provide them an education and a future of choice. We provide essential school supplies, uniforms and books, and we train teachers to create a child centered creative learning environment. Many families are poor and have no choice but to send their children to work. Like their parents before them, these children miss out on an education and the chance to break the cycle of poverty. We have asked ourselves what action is required to overcome poverty, not just for a short period, but over the longer term. We have implemented programs that we genuinely believe will bring sustainable solutions to the community of Tandrang, reduce the exploitation of children and will help lift families out of poverty in one generation.
