Every week in Aotearoa, three families are told the heartbreaking news that their child has cancer. A cancer diagnosis doesn’t just affect the child – all members of the whānau are impacted.
For over 40 years, Child Cancer Foundation has been dedicated to supporting them every step of the way, helping them overcome challenges and maintain control of their lives.
Each newly diagnosed family is connected with a Family Support Coordinator, who is there to provide them with one-to-one support in the specific areas they need it.
We need to raise $7 million each year to continue providing vital support to Kiwi kids with cancer and their families.
We do not receive any direct government funding, so we rely on the generosity of our fellow Kiwis to support these children and their whānau through the toughest time in their lives.
