Chesapeake Management Group is a real estate services firm located in the historic Georgetown area of Washington D.C., specializing in the development, acquisition and asset management of multifamily housing properties. Since 1977, Chesapeake Management Group and its predecessor organizations (Rosenberg & Freeman and Associates and the Cafritz Freeman Group) have developed or acquired 10,000 units of multifamily housing using variety of public and private financial sources including FNMA, FMAC, MSHDA, IDHA, PHFA and various local housing finance agencies, as well as a number of commercial banks. The firm also specializes in the negotiation of financial restructuring and work-outs related to multifamily housing projects, including condominium conversions, capital improvement programs and recapitalization of distressed properties.
