Smart phones in every hand. Social media everywhere. The modern world has never been more connected and more informed.
Yet when it comes to pancreatic cancer, most of us know little about the USA's third leading cause of cancer-related death.
Three Charlotteans, each from families touched by pancreatic cancer, are determined to change the local story of awareness. Charlotte Pancreatic Cancer Alliance was launched as a nonprofit community group in 2020 by three passionate change makers - Grace Lynch, Patti Weber, and Mark Weber.
Charlotte Pancreatic Cancer Alliance does three things to amplify the voices of our region's pancreatic cancer community:
We build community and believe in the power of collaboration to fuel progress in fighting pancreatic cancer.
We share stories and use the power of storytelling to educate and inspire others to advocate for all those touched by pancreatic cancer.
We create purple buzz by leveraging our expertise in media, public relations and social media to bring much needed local awareness to the pancreatic cancer cause.
Charlotte Pancreatic Cancer Alliance is proud to be an active member of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition.
