Charles Stewart and Company is a real estate and livestock agency operating throughout the western district of Victoria. The company commenced business in August of 1917 at 56 Bromfield Street, Colac and this site remains the head office for the company today. At the time the firm began, Mr Charles Stewart was a well-known and respected judge of livestock and real estate in the region. Today the company is owned by Elders Limited and run by a dedicated team of local people, including the members of the founding Stewart family. The company has office locations across western Victoria, including Warrnambool, Hamilton and Camperdown and operates from Geelong through to Penshurst. The main business activities of the company remain livestock sales and rural and residential real estate. The company also provides property management services.
