The Centre for Studies in Science Policy (CSSP) as an interdisciplinary teaching and research programme is the only one of its kind in the Indian university system. Designed as a combined teaching and research effort, the CSSP aims at exploring various dimensions of the science-technology-society interface. While centrally oriented as an academic programme, the CSSP also directs its research agendas at questions and challenges that are relevant to contemporary policy concerns. The Centre also aims at undertaking research assignments on science, technology and innovation policies and related areas such as university – industry relations; intellectual property rights; gender relations in science and technology; globalisation of innovation and internationalisation of R&D; technology and environment; scientists in organisations; and technology futures studies.
