Our mission Established in 1995 by Aboriginal businessman Daniel Tucker, Carey Mining is a company with a very special mission. Its goal is to build a large and profitable mining and civil contracting company, not simply to generate returns for its shareholders, but to provide meaningful, long-term training and employment for Indigenous people. On a consistent basis over the past decade, more than one third of Carey Mining's employees have been Indigenous. Our point of difference Carey cultural sensitivity and awareness are important factors in developing sound working relationships with local communities in remote mining areas in Western Australia. As one of Australia's leading Indigenous mining and civil contractors, Carey is uniquely placed to deliver added value to its clients in building local stakeholder relationships.
