Since opening its doors in 1947 built from two army huts, Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL Club has a long, proud history of supporting the community. Known historically as a venue for big name entertainment, Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL Club has also become the destination of choice for its host of food offerings with function rooms for every occasion, encompassing its elegant surroundings. The Club has its own onsite Registered Training Organisation, a 24 hour gym and a group fitness studio running classes daily. Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL Club is amalgamated with Magpie Sports Club, Bargo Sports Club, Marrickville RSL Club and is at the forefront of community initiatives such as The Cooks River Sporting Alliance & Camperdown Commons, a revitalised community hub that provides a welcoming inclusive space for locals of all ages and walks of life.
