Cane Concepts Cane Concepts, a pioneering unit in the cane and bamboo sector from north-east India and based out of Nagaland was established in 1992. The company specializes in a wide range of natural fibre products ranging from furniture, table ware, basketry etc, which are all hand-crafted to precision. It started small, and its formative years were spent on establishing itself in the domestic market, retailing from the shelves of many an up-marker store in all the Indian metroes while also designing and manufacturing to specified requirements in the hospitality sector. This done, the company has started its exports, mostly to the U.S. market. Today, the company is poised to position products "Made In Nagaland" in International market, thereby placing the state on the export map of India. The state of Nagaland, with its diverse ethnic tribes, numbering 16, is marketed by its rich cultural tradition, and lively indigenous crafts. Cane Concepts endeavors to translate this rich tradition of crafts into modern utilitarian products.
