As Australia's peak national non-government cancer control organisation, we are leading the change needed to reduce the impact of cancer now and in the future. Cancer Council leads national action to improve cancer control and care for people with cancer and their caregivers.
Cancer Council Australia advises the Australian Government and other bodies on practices and policies to help prevent, detect and treat cancer. We also advocate for the rights of cancer patients for best treatment and supportive care. Our independence means we can direct our funding where it is most needed and influence the public agenda to improve outcomes for people with all types of cancer, and across all stages of the cancer journey.
We work with our members (the eight state and territory Cancer Councils) to prevent and control cancer, and provide support for people affected by cancer.
