CIFF celebrates its 25th anniversary, September 19 - September 29. The 11-day showcase of over 200 multi-genre feature and short films from Canada and around the world also hosts Industry Week, creating unique and exciting ways for filmmakers and fans to interact.
The Calgary International Film Festival is the largest film festival in Alberta and was named one of "50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee" in 2009, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023 by MovieMaker Magazine. Films screened at CIFF qualify for The Academy Awards and The Canadian Screen Awards.
