The ‘Construction and Design Centre of Excellence’ (Cadcoe) is an award-winning training provider, leading the way in creating a future workforce of digital designers for the engineering and construction industries.
Working in partnership with Dudley College, we are committed to reducing the skills shortage, these sectors are facing, through apprenticeships all over the UK, in 2D and 3D computer aided design for young people and existing employees looking to pursue careers as digital design engineers.
Cadcoe was born from parent company TDS Midlands, a Structural Steelwork and Architectural Metalwork Design Consultancy. The company itself has employed and trained young people for over two decades, creating a sustainable team and a workforce that fully understands the needs and high expectations of the business and industry. Even though effective in creating the right mindset, Managing Director Daniel Leech, found that the traditional apprenticeship delivery of one day at college, wasn’t giving the apprentices the vocational skills required for the industry. Hence, Cadcoe was born!
Our apprentices undergo a unique training programme, completing a 20-week course in CAD prior to starting full-time with their employer. This means that from day one, businesses inherit an employee who can bring value and efficiency.
Our partnership with Dudley College, enables apprentices to learn in state-of-the-art facilities, accessing the most advanced learning technologies, in the purpose build ‘Advance II’ centre. Working in collaboration with one of the country’s top 3 Apprenticeship providers, means that Cadcoe, with its innovative approach to training, is able to offer you a world-class service delivery in taking your business forward within rapidly advancing digital times.
