The CRG Foundation’s mission is to share our decades of experience in rehabilitating nuisance properties through receivership. We are a nonprofit with 21 years of experience on more than 250 properties, and we want to share the knowledge we’ve gained with communities across the United States. Over the years, we’ve demonstrated how the receivership remedy goes beyond traditional code enforcement to break stalemates and bring change to properties that have been dilapidated for years, even decades.
Health and safety receivership does what traditional code enforcement cannot. Appointed by a judge, a health and safety receiver is a neutral third party, given the power to be onsite immediately to take over a nuisance property and determine a course of action to abate violations at no cost to the enforcement agency. We operate under the core value that a nuisance property (not the taxpayers in the surrounding community) should pay its own costs of repair.
The CRG Foundation was established in 2018, based on two decades of receivership experience. Our work on 250 projects demonstrates how receivership helps communities by making them safer and more enjoyable for everyone. We believe in people over problem properties, and receivership allows us to prioritize the people at the heart of each case. Today, we are the most experienced health and safety receiver operating in the United States.
