The "Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination" offers an expertise in the molecular chemistry of transition-metal and main group elements with specific research interests in fine chemicals and catalysis, bio-inorganic chemistry, nano-sciences and new materials.
A highly-qualified human potential (100 persons, including research and technical staff) provides advanced training in research for about 100 students, doctoral candidates and post-doctoral fellows in close partnership with a number of public and private enterprises in France, Europe, and over the world.
The Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination (LCC) in Toulouse was created in 1974 as a dedicated CNRS laboratory. It operates as an Institute of fourteen research groups, supported by a high level of scientific and technical services. The organization of the lab and its management can count with the expertise of internal consulting groups composed of researchers and technical employees. These consulting group are strongly implied in various aspect of the lab’s everyday life, ranging from budget or communication, to sustainable development. Due to the dynamic nature of scientific research, and the normal inflow and outflow of scientific and technical employees, the LCC has seen a continuous evolution of its organisation and scientific strategies over more than 30 years of its existence.
