C.I.T.Y. of Support believes all families who have children in therapy should have access to a supportive community that empowers them with resources and celebrates their journey, regardless of diagnosis. We have created an inclusive space that provides opportunities for social, educational, philanthropic, and community-building initiatives within different neighborhoods in the Chicagoland area.
By hosting both in-person and online platforms, we are providing accessible programming for everyone, and all at no cost for families. All are welcome in our network: parents and professionals. And, as a new organization currently run entirely by volunteers, we depend on these community partnerships to help support our mission.
C.I.T.Y. of Support is based on the core values of connection, collaboration, and celebration, and it is evidenced in the programming we provide. Parents can easily access resources in our professional directory, ask questions/advice on our active social media platforms, attend neighborhood playdates, engage in educational roundtable discussions, and participate in our annual Graduation Celebration. Professionals can readily share their resources/ideas by contributing to our collective blog posts, demonstrate their expertise by hosting online classes, network/collaborate with other professionals by attending our events, and increase their presence in our community by participating in different sponsorship/marketing opportunities.
Our community is unique, and its influence continues to grow. We provide programs in hospital NICUs, children's libraries, and community centers/playgrounds all around town. We would love to bring our programs to more neighborhoods, as funding allows. We hope you will help spread the word about our developing C.I.T.Y. of Support.
