CITES is a Venture buuilder, supported by a 24MU$S VC fund that co-creates, along founders, scientific-based startups. With a deep tech focus, CITES invests at the startups’ formation stage, through seed and series A. With over 30MU$S in assets under management, CITES is uniquely equipped, and positioned, to enable the development of scientific-based entrepreneurs, and the deep tech ecosystem in the region. Founded in 2013, initially backed by Sancor Seguros Group – the leading insurance company in Argentina, CITES has been a pioneer in the deep tech venture building space. In 2017, CITES was awarded the Scientific Accelerator Program Franchise from SePyME, and in 2020, listed its first financial trust (CITES I), in the Argentine stock exchange – the first listed VC vehicle in the region.
