Centre for Innovation Research and Facilitation in Intellectual Property for Humanity and Development (CIRF-in-IPHD) was founded on 16th of March 2020 by Prof. Dr. S.C. Roy in Chanakya National Law University Patna. The aim of the Centre is to raise awareness towards Intellectual Property Rights through seminar /Conference/Workshop/Symposium. Along with this the Centre aims to work towards Inter-University Collaboration for research in the field of intellectual property and Industry –University collaboration in the MSME sector and inculcate in the students a sense of entrepreneurship.
As the Centre is situated in Patna (Bihar), we also work towards the commercialization of Industrial Intellectual Property and Community Intellectual Property in Bihar.
As a part of our research endeavors, we began publishing a half-yearly journal called E- Journal of Academic Innovation and Research in Intellectual Property Assets (E-JAIRIPA). The E-journal is focused on issues related to Copyright, Patents, Trademarks, Geographical Indications, Plant Varieties and Farmer's Rights, Bio Diversity, Layout design and integrated circuits, Industrial Design, Traditional Knowledge and on current academic issues.
The Centre also releases the IP Bulletin. The Intellectual Property Bulletin is a Quarterly Magazine. It carries news, column, case reports, essay writings on recent events, activities or research in the domain of Intellectual Property Rights. It has to carry the application of intellectual creation, which are of commercial significance.
