CHANGE is a leading national human rights organisation led by Disabled People. We work for the human rights of all people with learning disabilities. At CHANGE we have employed people with learning disabilities on a proper salary, in key roles, for over 15 years.
CHANGE empowers people with learning disabilities by actively campaigning for equal rights and inclusion on issues that are important to people with learning disabilities:
• Support for parents with learning disabilities
• Access to information about health and independent living
• Support to get a job with a proper salary
• Dealing with disability hate crime
CHANGE delivers training and produces accessible books, booklets, Picture Bank CD-Roms, and individual pictures. People with learning disabilities are involved in every aspect of developing our accessible information, and delivering our training.
CHANGE resources are used by over 2000 organisations internationally, which includes more than 400 NHS Trusts, 400 local authority departments, and over 700 third sector organisations.
