Certifer Belgorail is an inspection, testing and certification company, belonging to the Certifer group since 2017, one leader in railway certification with a global presence in 20 countries. Specialized in the railway industry, we provide our testing, inspection, and certification services to vehicle and component manufacturers, rail operators, infrastructure managers. From its creation, Belgorail has sought to meet the requirements imposed on rail system certification and inspection bodies at both national and international level. These requirements are those applicable to notified bodies, approved bodies operating in a national framework and product inspection and certification bodies. Since 2004, Belgorail has progressively extended its activities to operate as: • a Notified Body for European Directive 2008/57/EC • an officially recognised body for verification of compliance with National Technical Rules in Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Spain (in European terminology a “Designated Body”) • a entity responsible for coordination and execution of Rolling Stock Testing • an Inspection Body in the rail sector • an Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) • an Independent Assessor (IA or AsBo) in the framework of the Common Safety Methods regulations (Risk Management Methods) •a Certification Body for Entities in Charge of Maintenance (ECM certification) and Maintenance Workshops. •an ISO 9001 Certification body Our company has also established various partnerships that have enabled it to broaden its battery of experts and extend the range of services offered.
