What do we do?
We pair mentors based at companies across the UK and undergraduate mentees on the basis of shared interests, backgrounds and education. The purpose of this partnership is to give our mentees confidence and knowledge on how to maximise their employability.
How do we do it?
We provide the following services to underrepresented groups across engineering sectors;
One-to-one mentoring from industry professionals
CV/Cover letter writing assistance
Mock interviews/assessment centres
Leverage and disseminate the knowledge and experience of our mentor network
Work with our contacts in industry to signpost opportunities specifically to our mentees
Does it work?
Our mentoring programme was launched in August 2020 and in our first year we helped 13 engineering undergraduates obtain graduate positions in the midst of the economic crisis. We currently have 50+ pairings since our pilot and are looking forward to continuing to help our mentees achieve their potential.
