Cadspan

CADspan is an online, risk free, and easy to use mesh processing software tool set. You set up your own user account, upload files and submit them for processing. In a few minutes your output file is ready to review. CADspan lets you take a ―what you see is what you get‖ approach to concept modeling, letting you worry about your design and not about whether or not your model will be printable. CADspan lets you break away from expensive solid modeling programs. You can now use inexpensive sketching and creative modeling tools and still be able to quickly create physical models on the new 3D printers. LGM created CADspan to address the 3d printing requirements of architectural and other “non-standard” CAD geometry. In conjunction with a university team, we developed the CADspan engine that creates suitable geometry by creating a virtual “shrink wrap” of the object to be 3D printed. This revolutionary technique provides the foundation for the CADspan software. LGM continues to develop new algorithms, interfaces and processes that will deliver a simple 3D printing experience. The CADspan vision is that the Average Consumer can successfully make a real world 3d object using a wide variety of design programs, 3D printers and online marketplaces.
