Butler Tech is one of the largest career technical schools in Ohio. Its passionate educators are on a shared mission of Transforming Lives to make our students career-ready and college-prepared. Our teachers serve more than 18,000 students daily on our five campuses and in classrooms within our 11 associate school districts.
Today, Butler Tech connects students to career technical education in more ways than ever. We offer more than 200 unique courses across our high school campuses and within many of the region’s high schools and middle schools. Nearly half of all students in grades 6 – 12 participate in at least one Butler Tech course. The local business community also supports Butler Tech students by providing real-world experience though apprenticeships, internships, and job shadowing.
High school students can receive career training in dozens of programs, along with completing their academic courses, in one of Butler Tech’s two-year programs for juniors and seniors. There are more than 50 industry credentials available for students to earn. They can also earn free college credit. We offer nearly three dozen Ohio College Credit Plus courses taught by Butler Tech faculty – and dozens more taught by college faculty either onsite, online, or on a college campus.
Butler Tech provides career training programs for adult learners in healthcare, industrial technology, public safety, and transportation. Butler Tech can create customized training programs for local businesses interested in helping their workers gain certifications and new skills.
