Burnham Service

- Founded in 1921 by furniture retailer L. R. Burnham. - Evolved into Burnham Van Service, a pioneer in the emerging moving industry. - Received one of the country's first Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) certificates in 1930. - Burnham Warehouses, Inc. opened in 1949. - Burnham World Forwarders, our international arm, began operation in the 1960s. - Entered the Canadian market via acquisition in 1987, a move that greatly expanded our North American presence. - In 1988 Burnham was purchased by Investcorp Group (providing the solid financial footing on which we stand today). -In 1995 a new beginning for the "new" Burnham - a new vision, a new leadership team, and a new focus on our mission, objective and values.
