Nestled in the heart of Somerset, a stone’s throw from Glastonbury Tor you will find Brue Valley where the Clapp family have farmed the land since 1538.
Having evolved from Farmhouse Cheese making, we now specialise in the manufacture of exceptional traditionally made artisan butter and delicious fior di latte mozzarella made from milk from our own herd.
As a family we remain passionate about our heritage and we believe in maintaining the skills of the artisan dairy. Our cows are cared for by a dedicated team. We are firm believers that our cows must be relaxed and happy to make quality milk, which then allows us to make quality mozzarella.
Being on the low lying Somerset Levels we grow masses of lush grass which we balance for the winter months with maize & silage to keep our ‘girls’ happy.
