Brookwood Medical Center

Brookwood Medical Center is a full-service medical facility that has been part of the Birmingham community since 1973. Over 800 privately practicing physicians treat and refer patients to Brookwood, with over 200 physicians practicing in offices located in one of the four professional office buildings connected to the hospital. Brookwood Medical Center offers a complete array of medical programs and patient services, such as cardiovascular medicine, emergency services, mental health, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, orthopedics, surgery, women's and more. Other affiliated services and facilities include the Brookwood Diagnostic Center, Women’s Diagnostic Center, Medplex Surgery Center, Brookwood Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Brookwood Advanced Wound Care Center, Brookwood Primary Care Network and Joslin Diabetes Center, affilliate at Brookwood Medical Center. Brookwood is accredited by the Joint Commission of Healthcare Organizations and is licensed by the Alabama State Department of Health.
