Brookside began in 1954 in British Columbia’s beautiful Fraser River valley. This is a scenic, rural agriculture area with rolling sun-soaked hills, snowcapped mountains and lush green forests. In the late 1960’s Brookside began to evolve into a confectionery company when opportunities arose for fruit and nut products.
That got us to thinking...why was there no premium chocolate company dedicated to the wonderful combination of chocolate with natural fruits and nuts?

A New Mission
Over the next several years we worked hard to develop the finest recipes that would compliment wonderful, healthy fruit and nut centres. We experimented with various creations until we developed our own, decadent and delicious Brookside Chocolate using these old world traditions.
While we were busy perfecting our chocolates, we made sure not to forget about these delicious centres. We developed optimum standards for each variety of fruit and nut and we taught ourselves how to prepare them in such a way as to bring out their best natural flavour. If you have ever indulged in our Milk Chocolate Almonds you will understand what we mean.
At Brookside we use nothing artificial and that’s part of the secret to our naturally indulgent delights. The finest, pure ingredients the world has to offer, combined with the care and dedication of each chocolatier, results in the finest for you to enjoy. We are convinced that’s why you have made us the most popular brand in our category.
