The Broads is a very special and unique mosaic of land and lakes in Norfolk and Suffolk. It is part of the National Parks family, home to a quarter of the UK's rarest wildlife and is its largest protected waterland .
It is looked after by the Broads Authority which has responsibilities for:
• Conserving and enhancing the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the Broads;
• Promoting opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the special qualities of the Broads by the public
• Protecting the interests of navigation.
