The British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar is an independent, not for profit membership organisation that promotes, supports and represents UK business interests in Myanmar. The Chamber provides business matching services linking Myanmar companies with UK companies for mutual benefit. The organisation launched in July 2014 with the support of high profile British businesses: three Founding Patrons: Jardines, Prudential and Standard Chartered Bank. The Chamber provides regular networking opportunities for the business community, up-to-date and relevant information on doing business in Myanmar and a platform for members to engage with government on issues affecting business. The Department for International Trade and the British Chamber work closely together offering services and events for the existing business community in Myanmar as well as supporting new market entrants identify the opportunities in Myanmar.
