I am passionate about health and well-being; both my own and that of my clients. Following cancer treatment in 2002, I set out on a path to optimise my own life and health, from there it was a logical step to help others do the same.
My journey has taken me through a series of training and qualifications. In 2004, I qualified with the London School of Sports Massage with a BTEC Level 5 Diploma and became a full member of the Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists. This inspired a deeper interest in anatomy, leading to an ITEC Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology.
In 2011, I qualified as one of the UK’s first practitioners of Anatomy Trains Structural Integration (formerly known as KMI), offering a holistic look at our bodies and structure. This recognises that every part of us is interconnected, and uses advanced myofascial techniques to get to the core of any physical issue we might face.
I am also trained in the EMMETT Technique of tissue release, including the new practice of ScarWork, and work with the Synergy range of Elite Health programmes and products.
Connective Tissue Therapy builds on this knowledge and expertise. It calls upon this broad skillset to address any form of physical pain, trauma or degeneration that people may suffer from, helping them to understand how to optimise their bodies and their body’s performance.
I work from the Simply Skin UK clinic in Teddington, as well as being a guest therapist at both Richmond Physiotherapy and The Lensbury in Teddington Lock.
In an introductory session, you will understand how my passion has led, and continues to lead, to expertise. I am a living, breathing advertisement for taking care of your own body.
