Bravo! Concerts Northwest

Since our founding in 1993, Bravo! Vancouver (now Bravo! Concerts Northwest) has become one of the most successful arts organizations in Southwest Washington. Bravo! is a nonprofit concert arts organization which currently focuses on several areas of music performance and education. These include: our Bravo! Northwest Concert Series (Vancouver and Portland series); the annual Vancouver Wine & Jazz Festival; regional arts partnerships and concert tours; international arts partnerships and tours, such as the Dubrovnik Jazz Festival; music education including masterclasses and workshops for students, opportunities for students to perform and more. Over the past 26 seasons we have presented more than 150 concerts to over 40,000 audience members. The series currently consists of sacred, classical, jazz, pop, contemporary, American and chamber music concerts. The Bravo! Chorale is a 40-member ensemble and one of the premiere civic choral groups in the Pacific Northwest. We have performed most of the major choral works of the 19th and 20th centuries, including Johannes Brahms’ German Requiem, J.S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, the Requiems of Mozart, Gabriel Fauré, Maurice Duruflé, John Rutter and Guiseppe Verdi, Joseph Haydn’s Te Deum and Creation, Beethoven’s Christ on the Mount of Olives, and Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah and St. Paul Oratorio to name just a few. The Chorale is equally at home performing jazz and popular music, as well as songs from Broadway musicals, American folk and patriotic songs, Spirituals and more. The Chorale has toured throughout Croatia with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and has performed in Washington D.C. and New York City. The Northwest Chamber Orchestra includes 30 professional freelance musicians from Vancouver, & Portland, Oregon. Bravo! also produces the Vancouver Wine & Jazz Festival, which features acclaimed Grammy-winning jazz, blues and pop artists, Northwest wines, fine artists and crafters and local food.
