The Boston Yacht Club is the oldest yacht club in New England, the second oldest on the East Coast and third oldest in the United States. It was launched September 19, 1866 at 14 Tremont St, Boston, and formally organized November 21, 1866 at the Parker House.
On March 12, 1956, the Club purchased the property at 1 Front Street, Marblehead, known as the Ship's Cabin, which houses the current Clubhouse.
