For 30 years, the Bocuse d鈥橭r has honored chefs and the profession and perpetuated the timeless spirit of Paul Bocuse's cuisine. But the Bocuse d鈥橭r is not only a gastronomic competition, but it is a time for sharing and recognition. It is also a universal language, understood on 5 continents, which is embodied in the creations, the plates, the dishes, and all this in the effervescence of an audience of supporters in the heart of Sirha Lyon.
Since 2005, the competition has set up pre-selection events with the national round and then the continental qualifying events (the Bocuse d'Or Europe, the Bocuse d'Or Americas, the Bocuse d'Or Asia-Pacific, and the Bocuse d'Or Africa) which determine the 24 countries that will be selected to participate in the Bocuse d'Or Grand Final.
