The Charter Township of Bloomfield, incorporated in 1827, was the first township to be established in Oakland County, Michigan. Today, it encompasses 25 square miles and has a population of 44,000. The natural beauty of the Township, with its winding roads, rolling hills and tranquil lakes, lends an attractive setting to the 17,000 homes with in its boundaries.
Because 95% of the Township is residential, municipal services are geared to homeowners and their needs. Taxes are surprisingly low for the broad range and high quality of services, making Bloomfield Township a highly desirable place to live.
