Family-owned Bird-in-Hand Corporation is a multi-location hospitality organization located in the beautiful countryside of Lancaster County, PA. The company dates back to 1911 when Jonathan Stoltzfus, great grandfather to the current generation of Smuckers, bought a 60-acre farm. For over 50 years, the Smucker Family farmed the land before developing part of the family homestead into a motel. Today, the Smucker family still oversees the operations of the Bird-in-Hand Corporation and family of companies.
Farm-fresh, Pennsylvania Dutch food has been a tradition since Grandma Smucker was featured by National Geographic in 1938. The Smucker family continues her legacy of delicious, farm-fresh food and homemade local recipes by featuring vegetables, fruits, meats and poultry from nearby Amish and Mennonite farms.
